Two-Man Buddy Bass Tournament
Compete at the Two-Man Angler Buddy Bass Tournament, Sept. 18 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lake Tholocco.
Cost is $100 per team. Top three weigh-in totals receive cash prizes, and the angler with the largest catch wins a special prize for “Biggest Fish.” Door prizes will also be offered.
All participants must have an Alabama state fishing license and a Fort Rucker post fishing permit. Registration takes place at Outdoor Recreation, Bldg 24236. For more information, call Outdoor Recreation at 255-4305.

Resident surveys
Picerne Military Housing residents receive a Headquarters, Department of the Army Resident Assessment survey this week, giving people the opportunity to share housing needs with the Army and Picerne staff.
Survey answers allow Picerne staff to determine necessary future improvements to facilities and services. Answers are completely confidential. Turn in surveys to neighborhood offices to receive raffle tickets to win a 50-inch flat screen TV.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield
A Blue Cross/Blue Shield representative conducts a service visit Sept. 2 for employees with questions about health insurance coverage or claims. Appointments are required and may be scheduled by calling Ashlee Glidewell at 255-0872.

Trivia in The Zone
The Landing Zone staff hosts Trivia in The Zone Thursdays, beginning Sept. 2, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The event is targeted to adult audiences and is part of the weekly Ladies and Karaoke Night. First Battalion, 11th Aviation Regiment Soldiers host a yard sale Sept. 4 beginning at 7 a.m. at The Commons on Seventh Avenue. This event is held rain or shine.

Family History via the Internet
Center Library staff host Family History via the Internet: Tips and Pointers with Les Waltman, a Family history researcher, Sept. 4 from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Registration for this Exceptional Family Member Program friendly event is limited to five participants. For more information, call 255-3885.

Pest control
Shaw staff conducts pest control spraying now through Sept. 4 at the 1000 and 1200 blocks, Tabernacle, Highbluff, Highfalls, Hooper and Ech stagefields and Molinelli Range.
Staff also sprays Sept. 4-11 at Lowe Army Heliport, Brown, Stinson, Lucas, Skelly, Runkle and Hunt stagefields, the 2800 Block, Combat Road and Division Road.

Splash! pool party
A Labor Day Pool Party at Splash! takes place behind The Landing Zone Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Splash! pool offers water slides, a rock climbing wall, tiki bay and spray park. Protestant Women of the Chapel

Home school program
Child, Youth and School Services offers a free home school program beginning Sept. 8 at 9 a.m. in Bldg. 2806. Group classes include computer instruction, physical education and electives.
Participants must be CYSS members. Registration is free, and takes place at Parent Central Services in Bldg. 5700. Eligible children range from 6 years old through high school.
